Thank you for choosing to adopt from Paws UP Pet Rescue!  

All Adopters must be at least 18 years of age, complete a non-binding application and pass a background check, vet check, reference check, landord check (if applicable) and home visit or photos of the home.

It is our requirement that ALL resident dogs be spayed/neutered, current on rabies, heartworm prevention, and distemper vaccination unless the family veterinarian has indicated it is not in the best interest of the animal.  Proof of this recommendation is required.

If resident animals are not up to date, the applicant will be put on hold.  If no response after 3 days, the application will be closed and denied. If the animal is brought current, the applicant is to notify the board via email.  

Adoptable animals will not be “held” during this time and may be adopted out to other applicants.

ADOPTION FEES

DOGS / PUPPIES

Puppies up to 2 years - $400.

** If the puppy is not altered at the time of adoption, there will be a refundable deposit of $100 due at the time of adoption. (Total $500 is due).  The $100 will be refunded once the puppy has been altered.  The spay/neuter is included in the adoption fee if the surgery is done at our preferred veterinarian.  If another vet is chosen, the cost will be the responsibilty of the adopter. The $100 deposit will be refunded after proof of spay/neuter is sent to the rescue. 

An obedience class is also required for all adopted dogs and puppies at the owners expense. These classes build confidence and trust with the animal and the adopter.  Proof of the class completion is to be sent to the rescue. Prices subject to change.

Dogs 2 year to 6 years  $350

Dogs over 7 years  $300

CATS/ KITTENS

Age up to 11months $140
   Adopt 2 at the same time $260

Age 1-4 years $85
   Adopt 2 at the same time $160

Age 5+ years $50
   Adopt 2 at the sa time $80

**Kittens are required to be adopted in pairs unless there is a kitten/cat aready in the home. If the cat in the home is 8 years or older the two-kitten policy applies.**

**Kittens will not be "held" until adoption age appropriate (10-12 weeks) unless a fee of $100 is paid to "hold" the kitten. The money will then be put towards the adoption fee.

**Also included in the fee: microchip, age appropriate vaccinations, deworming/flea-tick/ear mite treatment as needed
