Zeus came to us as a local owner surrender.  He was in pretty rough shape.  We are told he came from OH and they had him for a few years, but sadly didnt take the time to keep his vaccines up or treat some issues he has.  We took him to our vet and the big lump on his back is benign, however, the more serious issues are his eyes, ears and mouth.  His ears have severe cauliflower disease. He can hear but the treatment would not work due to the severity of them. The best the vet recommended is to clean them daily.  His eyes - have advanced dry eye which feels like cut glass in his eyes!  He has been given some medicated drops which have done wonders for him!  He is also on a daily moisturizing eye drop to help too.  He can finally open his eyes and his vision is much better.  His skin - is super rough and dry.  We have some medicated shampoo to start him on and we will groom him to activate some fresh growth.  His mouth isnt good. He will need a full dental and there will likely be many teeth pulled, but this is an easy fix and will help him feel better.  He is in a lot of pain so we are going to do what we can for him to keep him comfortable.   He is also very overweight so we are working on a few short walks a day - inside when the weather is bad and outside when possible.  He is on some joint relief pills as well to help his pain. 

He is considered hospice care right now and is not available for adoption.
