Hello!  I am  Esmae (pronounced like Es-may) meaning “esteemed, beloved; kind defender and esteemed to love” short for Esmeralda.

I found myself on the streets of IL and was picked up by Animal Control.  I thought I was safe, but I went to a kill shelter.  I had 10 days.  During my stay, it was noticed that I am a pregnant Momma  and super thin.  At day 7, Esmae was pulled by PUPR and is now safe at her foster home. 

She had a couple days to settle in, get a vet check and we were told the babies were coming!  All 12 of them!  We have 8 males and 4 females!  They will be up for adoption after they are 8 weeks and weaned.  Please check back for updates on all of them ! 

Esmae is now spayed and will be available for adoption in April 2020 after the puppies are weaned.
