Hey Ya’ll!
My name is Gracie, a Blue Pocket Pit and I’m currently a resident of Alabama but geez louise this weather! Hot, humid, hot, hot, hot, humid, hot AND humid, it’s not nice to a lady’s hair and I absolutely despise sweat so I’m looking for a new home, one I can live in forever somewhere up North!!  Wisconsin specifically as I hear the weather is much kinder up there.

I don’t remember much about my life before this lady that lives here caught me and I mean she HAD to catch me. I got suckered into a trap. That’s right, a trap because I think another person had scared me SO bad and probably hurt me so I was so afraid of people, I wasn’t going anywhere near them. I ran from her for almost 3 months until one night I smelled something SO good and I was so hungry so I went after it and that’s when I realized I was outsmarted and was trapped.

I was pretty scared at first,  but this person talked so sweet to me and after she let me rest for a day or so, she would pat me on the head and give me such sweet kisses, I started to forget why I had even been scared of people in the 1st place. She let me lay on her couch, gave me good food and toys, a soft bed, and I even had friends to play with. It’s so great!

I pretty much like all the other animals that live here except these things the lady calls cats. I don’t like them too much. I like all the dogs but some don’t like me. It’s the girls that don’t like me too much but that’s probably because they are jealous since I’m so pretty. Some little dogs are ok especially if they are big enough to run and play with me, but some get on my nerves so that sort of depends on the dog. I have a LOT of energy but that’s because I’m still young so the more running I can do, the better but I also LOVE to snuggle and get pets and kisses. I’m the best of BOTH worlds my foster Mom says.

I’m not a picky eater but I do like to eat by myself. If I have a crate, that’s perfect because I am crate trained and like to keep my food in there if it can be. I am housebroken, can “sit”, I don’t chew up things, I’m not noisy, I walk “ok” on a leash but am sure I can do better if I get more leash time. I’m almost the perfect dog really. I did have heartworms but they are all gone now and I am the picture of health!

I may be a bit scared when I first get there and may even think about trying to run back to Alabama, but don’t let me !!  You know -- the hot and humid thing!!  Just give me a few days to get used to being there, keep me secure until I know you are good people too, and I will settle in nicely and everything will be fine.

If you think you want to be my human, contact Paws Up Pet Rescue and they can let you write on some paper so you can meet me when I get there! Ooooo, I’m so excited, I can’t wait. Hurry now so we can get to know each other.
