Max was literally minutes away from euthanasia. He was found as a stray in MO and no one claimed him. He was a shelter favorite so the volunteers networked him to find him rescue.. well his post was seen by a potential foster in WI.. they contacted us and that is how his story begins!!

Max arrived in WI on 07/27/2019. A note from the foster: In the short time we have had Max we have learned so much about him. He is the sweetest boy and the tough times he's been through have not had any affect on his love for people. He loves to give kisses and snuggle. He is so curious about his environment. He likes to go for walks and watch the birds, and he LOVES car rides. He pulls a little while walking but only because he is interested in everything going on, he is easily redirected. He is very treat motivated and knows how to sit when asked. He is not a fan of the crate and has excellent house manners, so he doenst need one. He is good around younger kids, we do not know how he is around toddlers or babies. He is good with new people as well. He is very interested in other dogs and will whine a little when he sees them. he will chase anything that runs - so he is good with cats that are calm (older cats are better than a young kitten), but each animal would need a meet n greet of course. Overall, Max is a wonderful dog!

Max was adopted into a home - loved the couch and lots of snuggles.  Sadly, he was surrendered back to the rescue due to the home owners insurance.  

Max would love to be the only dog in a home where he can be spoiled.  He likes other dogs - but can be selective.  He would do best in a feline free home.  He would also do best with kids over 14 as he is strong and can jump when he is excited.  He would love someone who is active and takes him for daily walks and adventures!  He is an awesome dog that deserves a second chance at a home.
