Hello! I am Ellie. I was dumped on a road in Alabama.  I was super scared and it took over  week for a nice person to bring me inside.  A local foster saw me and took me in so I could travel to Wisconsin!  Well, 2 days after I arrived at the foster home, I gave birth to 7 puppies!  We all were suprised!   My puppies were able to go to Wisconsin and all have been adopted.  Now it is my turn!  

I arrived in Wisconsin on May 5. I am in a foster home and doing great!  I live with two other dogs - bassett hounds.  I am a very sweet girl that needs time to take things in - change should should be slow for me.  My forever home would be with another dog - I like male dogs better but a non-dominant female is ok too.  I am not the best with cats.  I am a big girl, so children over age 10 would be best so I dont knock them over.  

I am housetrained and crate trained. I do like to dig - not to escape but to lay in the hole!  I do REQUIRE a fenced yard as change makes me nervous - when I am nervous I get into flight mode - and I will run and not look back!  Yes, this will get better once I am settled in a new home, but a fenced yard would keep me safe.
