Peanut was found running alongside a country road. The finder was able to take her to a vet and althought no chip was found, the vet did notice that she is an older female, has rotten teeth and a golf ball sized tumor on her mammory gland. Despite those things, she is a super sweet gal that loves the resident dogs and was good with the teenage son! The finder asked us for help as no one came to claim her. She is now a PUPR dog and after some blood tests, we have realized there is some sort of liver disease going on. The numbers are elevated but she sure doesnt act like there is an issue! She is a very happy, playful gal, but also likes to just snuggle too. She does get tucked in her crate everynight and enjoys her space! She currently lives with a couple other large dogs and keeps them in line! We will be attempting the spay and tumor removal surgery, which is risky due to her elevated numbers, but this may help her feel better. If that goes well, we will attempt a dental to help her decaying mouth. She is looking for a foster or adopter that will love her in her senior years. If you are interested in helping this girl have forever home, please contact pawsuppetrescue18@gmail.com Her adoption fee is $150
UPDATE: The spay and tumor removal went very well ! Peanut is doing great - as if nothing happened! We did sent the lump out to pathology and should have the results soon.
She is now ready for a forever home! If youare interested in meeting her, please fill out a non-binding application! Thank you for choosing to adopt!
